Jetta Launch Website/DVD

We built the campaign around a digital core with two components: First, a DVD ‘brochure’ that replaced much of the content of a normal glossy catalog.jetta-website2-300x198 Content included photography, Flash-animated demonstrations of technical features and bonus features like interviews with design gurus at Volkswagen and Dwell magazine. Second, a seven-minute short film called “The Check Up,” which envisions a world where the government deploys agents to “check up” on how people are transitioning into adulthood. dvd Joe Pantoliano plays the agent, and Kevin Connelly (HBO’s Entourage) plays the subject of the agent’s inquiry. Academy Award winners Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris of “Little Miss Sunshine” fame directed the film. The “Check Up “ Jetta DVD was inserted into 1,000,000 copies of Entertainment Weekly. When played in a computer, the DVD would link to a comprehensive Jetta website and Volkswagen’s lead generation program.
